The PD.1845-1N's vented cast-aluminium chassis and forced-air cooled, long-throw motor system houses a strong neodymium magnet and a new 37mm long, 4.5-inch diameter, four-layer, Copper-clad aluminium voice coil design on an angular split, ventilated, glass fibre bobbin. Effective thermal management in the motor system and voice coil gap decreases the energy lost to heat which allows for extreme power handling, low power compression and incredible overall audio performance.

Coupled with an optimised compliance, double silicone suspension system and triple-roll surround that provides 16mm Xmax and ultimate cone control at high excursion along with an aluminium demodulation ring to reduce inductance and provide ultra-low distortion. The PD.1845-1N exhibits 98.8dB sensitivity across its working frequency band of 30Hz - 1kHz with a rated power handling of 1500 watts AES.
